About Us

Our President and CEO, Daniel Johnson, has been involved with production of all kinds all of
his adult life. Early in his career, he did sound reinforcement in venues large and small, from
Red Rocks to night clubs and also managed hotel events of all kinds.

Later in his career he was a resource for the Film and Video industries, building custom audio
and video widgets for the most difficult production applications, creating POV camera solutions,
from underwater, to Lear Jet under bellies. He became an industry leader in location sound
systems and was know as the man to go to for solutions to difficult problems.

Dan spent 5 years as Engineer In Charge of the live broadcast studios and helped maintain the
numerous post production suites at the once "state of the art" Comcast Media Centers in
Littleton Colorado. He was in charge of countless live broadcast and television productions,
sometimes with 2 or 3 shoots going simultaneously ...Never missing air or a single failed
production.

As " Video Shader" for the Denver Broncos since 2001, he takes great pride and joy in the
challenging position of making the cameras look just right for the thousands of fans that go to
the game. He also works on live production truck shoots as EIC and Video Engineer for sports
and productions of all kinds.

As a location sound engineer he has worked on TV shows, live interviews, commercials, and a
little reality TV, just for kicks. He uses "state of the art" location sound equipment and knows
how to use it! Lighting /Grip work is often required as well and Dan has learned from some of
the best in the industry.

Engineer At Large, Inc. started in 2005 due to the need to expand the business to cover the
